With sadness, we share the news of David (Dave) Brinsmead’s passing. Dave was a dedicated husband, father, Christian, Rotarian, and Freemason, and a valued member of his community. After an enviable 35-year career with Calgary Power and TransAlta, Dave stayed busy in retirement and continued to serve the wider community. He touched the lives of those lucky enough to know him through his warmth, integrity, humility, and uncommon strength of character. We will all miss his humour and the stories he loved to share.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rita, and his three sons: Gavin, Bryce, and Court.
Dave's Funeral Service was held June 27th, 2026 at Fish Creek United Church.
