What an incredible day of football, fellowship, and fun! On Saturday, August 29, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Calgary Centennial gathered to cheer on our Calgary Stampeders as they took on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for the official "Family Day" game.

The festivities kicked off early with a fantastic free Tailgate Party at 11:00 AM. We met up at the end of the Gate 1 Parking Lot at McMahon Stadium, right across from the Stamps Gift Store. It was wonderful to pack the parking lot to share hot dogs, pizza, drinks, and great Rotary community connection before heading into the stadium.

For the game itself, we enjoyed premium views (and much-appreciated seats with backs!) from the Blue Sections. Kickoff was at 1:00 PM, and the action on the field certainly did not disappoint.

Game Results: A Thrilling Finish!

It was an absolute nail-biter, but the Calgary Stampeders secured a spectacular 28-23 come-from-behind victory over the Tiger-Cats! Trailing late in the fourth quarter, the Stamps delivered a Hollywood-worthy finish when running back Dedrick Mills broke free for a 49-yard touchdown run with just 29 seconds left on the clock.

The stadium erupted, making it the perfect cap to an already unforgettable afternoon.

A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to help organize the tickets and tailgate, and to all the members who came out to make this Family Day outing such a massive success.

Stay tuned for our next club social!
