Minutes for RCCC May 22, 2019 Meeting

Ranchmen's Club

Meeting conducted by incoming president Russell Kane
 
Club Business
 Jeff Dworkin  - Presidents Appreciation Event - tickets are available $60 per person, Elvis theme, business casual  -  June 14, 2019 starting at 6:30 pm at the Hamptons Golf Club
                      - Casino Dates October 4 and 5 - sign up sheets will be out in the next couple of weeks
 
Gary Webster - has enough volunteers for the Mustard Seed event July 29
                       - Heroes committee set up - Roger Frayne, Miriam Mitchell-Banks, PK Gangulnyi, Max and Irene
                       - Needs volunteers for the barbecue after the Marathon on Sunday
 
Roger Frayne - presented a cheque for $2500 to Hilary Jenkins and Tim McGowan

Jeff Dworkin introduced today's speaker, our own Troy Adams
 
Troy Adams - stated that this was his 3rd Vocational talk.  First 2 while a member of the Cochrane club .  
                    - born in Edmonton, army brat.  Lived in Germany while  his father was stationed there
                    - MBA from the University of Calgary
                    - married to Betty Lou for 35 years
                    - member of the Cochrane Library Board
                    - has worked for Trans Canada Pipelines, Altagas, Westcoast, and Atco Power
                    - worked in the energy industry for 30 years - roles included operated gas plants, mid stream, natural gas processing, natural gas liquids and has worked on
                      projects in Mexico and Australia
                    - currently working for Enprise - Canabis with Anil, Miriam and Max
 
Paul Cahill thanked Troy for speaking to us.
 
President Elect - Russell Kane
Thanked Anita for arranging speakers, and Gary Webster for all his hard work .  Motto for the coming year is  "How can you serve your breakfast club?"

- fined members caught using their phones during the speakers talk
- all of those who have not bought 2 tickets for the Presidents ball
- all of those who did not volunteer at the Food Bank or Feed and Read or Mustard Seed
