Cook Book Project FinancingThis is a fund earning project through compiling a cook book of quality recipes that are inexpensive to prepare, but nutritious and tasty. The book will be launched in mid-April, and a schedule of sales venues is attached at the bottom of this item. Contributions from restaurants $3750Set up costs photography $2330 Set up costs layout $1470 Total $3800 Printing costs 1000 books $12,500 or $12.50/book $7.50/book profit 2000 books $16,500 or $8.25/book $11.75/book profit 5000 books $29,000 or $5.80/book $14.20/book profit reorder 1000 books $9,800, 2000 books $14,000 There will likely be some costs to cover tables at various events where the club will sell the cook book. Preference is to use as much unrestricted funds to maximize fraction of profits that would be eligible for sharing as unrestricted funds. Eligible for restricted funds? Not certain yet, but AG did not say no outright. AG was concerned what the profits from the cook book were for. When are funds needed? Mid to late May, 2002.
