Community ServiceCommunity Service pertains to those activities which Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Clubs sponsor such activities as community beautification, drug abuse prevention, aid to the elderly and leadership training for youth. By way of example, at the start of the 2001-2002 Rotary year the committee was allocated a budget of $24,800 and made its priorities to put 25% to supporting the arts, 25% to youth and seniors and 50% to the needy.
