Instructions for use of DG application formsWe have a
new reviewer at the AGLC, Lillian Rybichi. There are two people
that now handle all Rotary Clubs in Alberta.
AGLC still
needs all the forms and agreements for over $1,000 and the government
has now produced an agreement form. Our cheque requesition
form has been revised to indicate everything we need and provide for
2 executive signatures requesting the approval.
If we do our homework (due diligence) and can show that we have made a reasonable assessment of the organization then the governement would likely approve it (ie they would question it on audit but we would then be able to demonstrate that we had made an appropriate assessment). If the government had approved the organization in the past (either specifically for over $1,000 or implicitly because they audited everything charged against a restricted account), that they would likely approve it again. We need to ensure we do a good due diligence for 'new' organizations. We have a cheque req for under $1,000 (see the lessthan1000 form) that should provide the club with some comfort that the review was done though that really lies with the committees. |
